Post #1 - Start Post (Posted by Shintotchi)
Start of online street team
Post #6 - Yumeko suggests also commenting on the homepages of jrockers.

Post #30 - Shin points out that we're thinking about both bands and locations, but are doing one at a time.
Post #41 (Shintotchi) - Our Top 7 Locations:
We can now decide how to approach this.
Also try writing to big corporate places like Best Buy and FYE to request that they sell more jrock.
Post #42 - Decomposition_ Beauty suggests going after artists, then corporations, artists have to agree to sell in US.
Also suggests some people take on CD release, some take on concerts.
Post #45 - Shin likes above idea.
Should set a goal to have contacted everyplace by August.
Shin would like to handle the Music Store Division.
Post #49 - Yumeko suggests starting with artists because they need to gain popularity before stores will have them on their shelves. (It costs money if they're on the shelf and don't sell.)
She also provides the following venues in Detroit:
Post #51 - MurasakiTyou likes the fanlisting and flyer ideas.
Pass around and post up about our activities.
Post #60 - Akiyoshie presents an idea.
Post #61 (Shintotchi) - Group is now UEC (United East Coasters).
Post #69 - Diva suggests looking for smaller venues, maybe with a capacity of 2,000 or less. (A bit more realistic.)
Post #80 - VM suggests that someone maybe contact anime convention staff and ask about bands performing.
There are many cons in Florida, and that should be considered.
Post #90 - Aiwin suggests looking more at cities.
Suggests two more venues
Post #92 - Shin thinks a good trick would be to look at the venues the Family Values tour and Diru toured at. (They may be smaller but they're more likely to listen.)
We should limit locations to the top 5 we're willing to go to.
Post #103 - Diva suggests the following venues:
Post #117 - Diva suggests one of us writing a letter to send to bands.
Post #119 - Shin made banners and an icon. (See post #1.)
Post #120 - VM suggests a Livejournal community.
Post #124 - Akiyoshie suggests not only addressing a letter to the band, but getting those who wish for the band to attend to sign. (A petition-letter).
Post #126 - (Posted by Shin)
Probably better to send personal letters (by snail mail) individually by whoever writes it.
Post #130 - Shin made a Facebook group.
Post #136 - Akiyoshie made a Livejournal.
Post #142 - Yumeko might make a sort of comedic, commercial type video for the jrockers about why they should come to the east coast.

Post #259 - Aki asks if there is anyone who is staff of the grouping.
She also has an idea.
She has already asked Dix (Princesse) to talk to the mods about JRR becoming an affiliate for us.
Website News.
Unfortunately, Aki is the only one who can run the site, as it can only be run by one person.
She created a "forums" section, but you have to be a member of the website she used to create ours.
Our webspace is limited, but bandwidth is unlimited.
Post #265 - Shintotchi created a new MySpace (as we were having issues with the old one).
Post #274 - Aki got rid of the forums for now (on the website) and will get rid of one more section, as she's only allowed 20.
Post #279 (Shintotchi) - The livejournal layout has been updated.
Post #280 - Aiwin feels like the text and contact tables (etc.) should pop out more. It looks a bit ordinary.
Post #290 - Aki posts that we site is now officially open.
She plans to use Diva and Moo's letters as examples for a "write to your artists" contest.
Reminder: Those willing to staff, please send Aki your best qualities, an email address that you use frequently, and a mini profile of yourself.
Those who agree to be staff are agreeing to help the users in any way possible.
Post #292 - Shintotchi asks if duties should be split be the two MySpaces, so that each one has a purpose.
We have a video, which can be found at http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=36661620.
Post #297 - Aki says that its best to PM her with your information if you want to be staff.
Post #299 - Aki advertised all of the links in the "advertise your website" section for the forums, so no one will have to search the pages for links.

She has also been friending random people on MySpace to help spread the word.

Post #317 - Shintotchi says that the http://www.myspace.com/pro_eastcoast address will be for official news. General community discussion will be http://www.myspace.com/the_pro_jectz.
We now need to decide which artists we're going to hit.
She will break it down so that if you're a fan, then you can contact them. If not, just wait until your artists' turn comes.
Also, when we get to it, we should contact cell phone companies.

Post #338 - Pokyu gives input from her post at Jpopmusic.com.
"The House of Blues in Orlando Florida has previously welcomed Japanese bands in the past to great avail-- Dir en grey saw a massive and warm reception. The Hard Rock is another great venue to consider. The HOB is probably the best bet, and there is a HUGE J-Rock scene here."
"The Fox Theatre? Really? 'Cause I don't really see a Jrock concert happening there. I guess for larger things like Jrock Revolution, we should find large venues, but Dir en grey was at the Roxy Theatre, which is smaaaaaall. We should look for smaller venues as well in case bands that aren't associated with Jrock Revolution want to come to some of those cities."
