Updates have been lagging here lately, and I apologize for that. I have personally been a bit busy, and we are currently undergoing a few changes regarding rules and such as well. Updating should resume within a week or so.

    • Every two bands are bolded so we can get an idea of which bands we're contacting through snail mail per month. The bands are separated by four so we can see which ones we're contacting overall in order.

See Mailing Information for more information on how we're going to contact the bands.

    • MAILING INFORMATION -

      • We will officially begin contacting artists on August 4th, a Monday. We will be contact 4 artists through Myspace and through their OHP (Official Homepage) every Monday of a month. At the end of each month we will be sending snail mail to two different artists.

      • In August I will require all JRR members who want to send snail mail to pm me for my address. For August you will have to send me the letters between August 12 and August 25th, but that's only because I am moving. Normally (for any month afterwards) you will only have to send me the letters before the 25th of that month as I will be sending them all out around the 30th.

      • For all Myspace users, as it's dangerous posting my address like that I will require that you type your letter, and if possible, sign it using paint or whatever you can. You guys will be emailing me your letters and I will print them out and mail them. I will go into further detail on that as the time draws near.

      • When you send me your snailmail you will put your letters in already stamped envelopes and put the return address on it. The return address goes in the upper left hand corner and it's just putting your name and address there so that if the letter gets lost they know where to send it back to. Also it will let the j-rockers know where their letters are coming from. On the middle of the envelope where you'd normally put who the letter is addressed to, put the band name and the member it's addressed to.

        • Do not put the address on their however. You will be putting both letters into a manilla envelope with my name and address on it (stamped of course) and will mail the manilla envelope to me. I will be writing in the addresses on your envelopes and making sure everything is sent off at the same time.

      • We discussed having a pro-JECT stationary so that the j-rockers will notice that we're all from the same group when we read our letters. I will create a (printer friendly) stationary with our mascot on it and will post that up when the time comes to write.

      • We decided to start writing in August instead of July so that we can keep on schedule with contacting bands. All in all it should take 7 months to contact all the bands (listed so far) on Myspace and their OHP and it should take between 14 and 16 months to contact them all through snailmail.

      • We mentioned contacting companies and venues, but that's our second priority. We will discuss contacting them more seriously in about 8 months. By then we'll have gotten a bulk of the contacting done and we'll have more energy to focus on the companies.

      • The first four bands we are going to contact are Dir en grey, The Underneath, Alice Nine, and The Gazette. The first two that we're contacting by snail mail are Dir en grey and The Underneath.

      • A question was asked that if you don't listen to/like the band that is up for that month do you have to write them? Well of course we only want sincere letters sent to our artists, so please don't force yourself to write. We only ask that you participate in the Myspace contact day to show support for the group, as that doesn't require a letter to write but rather more of a "I'm from such and such state- please come to the east coast!" sort of thing.

      • Also another point was brought up that we have three ways of contacting the artists. You can contact them all three ways. And if you want, you can write all 5 (or however many) members of the band. But make sure you only contact them once. We don't want to seem like rabid fans or anything. I doubt we have enough energy to write more than once, but for the ones that do- limit yourselves okay?

      • When we contact the Myspaces we'll be leaving a message addressed to the entire band (unless it's an individual band member's Myspace). When we send snail mail and OHP fanmail however just address your letter to your favorite member. Hopefully there will be alot of variety in everyone's favorite member, so that each member gets contacted. If I see a member is left out I'll contact them myself. Again, do not force yourself to write to a member if you don't really want to.

      • I will be mailing an official letter from Pro-JECT with our mission statement in it to each band. More likely than not it will be through snailmail.

      • If a band we're contacting does not have a Myspace, then we will just not have a Myspace to contact for that week. We will go ahead with contacting their OHP and snail mailing them.

      • Later on I will post up mailing guidelines for those who are unsure of what to put. Also, when the time comes, I will be posting up the band, their OHP, and their Myspace link (if they have one) so things can go smoothly when we start contacting them.

      • Lastly if a band does NOT have a Myspace and you're writing them, be sure to mention you would love seeing them create a Myspace for their overseas fans. ^^

        • By Shintotchi

    • LETTER GUIDELINES -

      • Snail Mail

        {Opening} Dear *band member*

{Introduction} In this opening paragraph mention who you are, where you're from and that you want them to come to the East Coast.

{Body} This is where you put all of your personal stuff. Why you like them. How long you've been a fan. What their music means to you or how badly you want to see them live. How much they mean to you- whatever personal thing it is that you want them to know. (No sexual things, plzthx)

{Closer} Re-state that you would support them coming to perform overseas and how much you really hope they come to your state or to the East Coast.

{End} Sincerely (Love, From, or whatever ending words you like to use) and then your name.

PS: If you want to make a little drawing or put stickers on or whatever feel free to! If you know a little Japanese feel free to use that too. ^^

      • OHP Fanmail

This is alot more informal so you can just delve into it.

{Opening} State who you are, where you are, and that you want them to come there.

{Body} All the personal things you want to tell that member.

{Ending} Restate that you want them to come to the East Coast and that you support them coming overseas.

You can end it however you like with a "good luck!" or a "thanks for reading" if you can't think of anything else.

      • Myspace Comments

These are going to be comments- not letters. So they'll be pretty to the point.

Hey- my name is *insert here* and I'm from *insert here*

Mention how long you've been a fan or how much you've been waiting to see them in concert before going into " I really hope when you decide to come to the US you will visit the East Coast so I can see you live!

And then you'll end it with something quick/simple like "Go *insert band name*! Or...whatever you want. lol

You Myspace comment shouldn't be more than a paragraph. Save the long stuff for the fanmail and snailmail. Make sure your state and East Coast are nice and readable . X3

Simple right? Are there any more questions on the letter forms?

        • By Shintotchi

    • MYSPACE - We're going to start contacting artists on August 4, 2008. For MySpace, you have to be an someone's friend to leave them a comment, so make sure you try to friend the artists before we get to them.

  • FOR THE FUTURE

    • JRR AFFILIATION - Earlier, we asked JRR about affiliating with us. This was our answer:
      • " OUR AFFILIATE QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED! The good news is JRR is willing to support us wholeheartedly on our project. The slight downside is they won't affiliate with us right now since we are still in our baby stages and they are looking for professionalism and our state to be strong and firm with our structure. But when they feel we have achieved this goal they will gladly become an affiliate for us. I personally find this very good, all we have to do is become more established with passing time and we shouldn't have too many worries ^_^." (Post by Akiyoshie)
      • This is something that we are working towards.

    • TOP CITIES - Back in the first JRR thread, we took a tally of which cities we would be most willing/able to travel to. Our top seven cities are:
      • Orlando, FL
      • New York City, NY
      • Detroit, MI
      • Philadelphia (two different cities were voted on for PA so it will be looked into)
      • Chicago, IL
      • Atlanta, GA
      • Boston, MA

    • VENUES - We've briefly mentioned possible (concert) venues to contact in the future. We're not doing anything with those in the near future, but it's something to think about. (Venues would most likely be in our Top Cities.

    • CONTACTING STORES ETC. - We're planning to contact stores and such (like Best Buy) sometime next year.

That should be enough to start you off. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always happy to help. Once again, welcome to Pro-JECT!

    • She agrees that we should name our mascot.
    • We now have 219 friends on MySpace.
    • Someone posted in the mascot thread asking if it was too late to submit. She told them that we had already chosen, but if they wanted, we could still look at what they drew. Unless there was an amazingly overwhelming turnaround, the mascot will remain the same.
    • Shin has been calling the mascot PJ and put the Pro-Ject initials on his belly like that.
      • Give suggestions and we can decide on Monday.
    • She will post the chat info later.
  • Post #110 - Aki posted the mascot on the site today.

  • Post #111 - Ragga suggests the Avalon Ballroom in Boston, MA for a venue.
    • It is small, but has a good screen above the stage for graphics, and is a cool little place. It is an indoor venue, and Dir en grey played there once.
  • Post #114 - VM is going to do the updates and such on the blogs when the notes are posted.
  • Post #115 - Shin posted the notes for last night's meeting. (They can also be found on this blog.)
  • Post #116 - Pokyu asks if Shin knows that sending mail out of the country needs more than one stamp.

    July 11, 2008

  • Post #119 - Pokyu asks Shin if she knows that sending mail out of the country needs more than one stamp.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 13 )

  • Post #122 - 静一様 requests that Rentrer en Soi be put on the list.
  • Post #123 - Cheministic updated the blog notes and posted Shin's meeting notes. She can post the meeting notes every week.
    • She won't be updating tomorrow, and possibly for the next few days.
    • She suggests that people who aren't from JRR (and thus won't be mailing Shin) could possibly scan handwritten letters to send.
      • It would protect Shin's privacy and keep it personal.
    • She doesn't see Tal and Masato from The Underneath on the Official MySpace.
    • Chem looked up the postage and says that according to USPS, it would cost 94¢ to send a letter (1 oz. or less) to Japan.
  • Post #125 - Shintotchi will try and look into the postal costs for sending to Japan.
    • She was also thinking about scanning letters.
      • The only problem is that sometimes scanning doesn't come out very readable.
      • People also might not have the resources to print out the stationary, write on it, scan it, and email it.
      • It will, though, be an option.
    • She friended Tal and Masato (and quite a few others) but they haven't accepted yet.
    • Rentrer was added to the list.
    • We now have 225 members on MySpace.
  • Post #126 - Ragga asks how expensive this will be for Shin.
  • Post #127 - Pokyu guesses that it will be around $0.99 (as that's what it cost her to send mail to Australia).
  • Post #128 - Ragga asks if Shin will be sending the letters individually or in a package.
  • Post #129 - ^ Shin will look up what would be better. She needs to know if the stamps themselves, or actually going to the post office and saying that you need to send it to Japan makes the letters expensive.
    • If it's the stamps, it shouldn't be too expensive, as we have to buy the stamps and put them on the letters.
    • If it's the cost of sending them, she'll separate the letters by band (and member if she has to) and mail them in a box.
  • Post #130 - VM says that if money comes up with sending the letters, we could always send in 2 or 4 dollars or something with the letters to help with the cost if it comes down to that.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 14)

  • Post #134 - Aki added Rentrer en Soi on the first page (of the official site).

  • Post #136 - Tsukiko liked Aki's email update, but thought we were mailing the letters to Shin. (She wants to clear confusion.)

  • Post #150 - Shin spent two hours friending 4 pages worth of The Underneath's friends page.
    • She'll either go for 5-10 the following day, or switch to an entirely different entry.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 16)

  • Post #153 - Shin says that we now have 267 friends.
  • Post #156 - Aiwin requests that we add The Kiddie to the list.
  • Post # 157 - Shin added The Kiddie, as well as Kannavalism, Angelo, and Alvino.
  • Post #158 - Ragga talked to a kid who said he was trying to get a few of his friends to join.
  • Post #159 - VM thinks that t-shirts would be great. Also, if we want to try and make and sell things to raise money for us, we could make a poll asking if people would buy it. We could maybe mentino how much the items would cost too.
  • Post #160 - Aiwin was just thinking about making shirts for the staff. (If we got a band to come, we could wear them.)
    • She doesn't know how many people would buy regular Pro-JECT shirts if she made them.
    • She can also make buttons, bracelets, and stickers. (These, though, could cost a bit without a discount.)

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 17 )

  • Post #161 - Tsukiko thinks that a poll is a good idea, and that we should talk to Sin and Aki about it.
  • Post #162 - VM says that it could be brought up in this coming Monday's meeting.
  • Post #165 - VM says that we are at 20 signatures for the petition. (This includes the people that double signed.)
    • She asks if there should be site links and updates for the crunchy roll group, as there are 48 members.
  • Post #166 - Aki will email blast the guidelines on the site.
    • She thinks that the merch poll is a good idea, and will probably make up a contest for designing the merch.
    • She asks those running threads and such if they could try to get the supporters on the official site's mailing list. (The "subscriptions" tab is the mailing list.)
  • Post # 167 - Shin will try and let the people on MySpace know to sign the petition. She's gotten quite a few people saying that they'd love to help, so she'll try to contact them.
    • She thinks the shirt idea is awesome. She asks if Aiwin knows how to screen-print or if she's talking about making shirts with paint and glitter, etc.
    • She will try and get on making the stationary by the end of the week.
  • Post #168 - Aki thinks that maybe she should change the Subscription name and put mailing list or something. She says that we take over the first two pages on google.
  • Post # 169 - Aiwin says that she was thinking screen print (regarding the shirts) but could do paints and glitters. She can also tie-dye .
  • Post 3170 - Tsukiko thinks that it would be a good idea to change "subscription" to "mailing list".

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 18 )

  • Post # 172 - Ragga asks Shin for a list of bands that she's already friended, so they don't cross paths.
  • Post # 173 - Shin will do a list, but asks for about a week.
  • Post #174 - Aiwin posts Hikari's thread, which contains a list of many Jrock artist official MySpaces.
  • Post #175 - Aki changed the Subscription thing to Mailing List.
  • Post #176 - Ragga will go friending when she has some time.
  • Post #179 - Shin had 75% of the artists from the list, but the other 25% was helpful.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 19 )

  • Post #181 - Shin says that the MySpace is now at 303 members.
  • Post #182 - VM asks if she should send messages to the people on the list with the link of the petition. (Asking them to sign it.)
  • Post #183 - Shin thinks that would be excellent, though she can try and send out a giant message to everyone on her friends list if it gets to be too much.
  • Post #184 - VM says that she can send the message later tonight.
  • Post #185 - Aki asks if she can try to message people to join our mailing list. (Unless she has to be a MySpace member to do that.)
  • Post #186 - Ragga asks if she means the MySpace or the Petition. (You can send out a bulletin on MySpace.)
    • She will probably go friending again today.
  • Post #187 - VM points out that not a lot of people read bulletins. We could try that first though.
    • We could also make one about the mailing list on the official site.
    • If it doesn't get much action, she can message all the people on MySpace that are in the jrockers category about the petition and the official site mailing list.
    • You need an account on MySpace to message people.
  • Post #188 - Diva says that if there's anything we need, don't hesitate to ask her.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 20 )

  • Post #192 - Tsukiko asks why people are friending so many people to their personal MySpaces.
  • Post #193 - VM responds that she isn't friending anyone to her personal page. She was going to go into the Pro-JECT page and see what friends were in there in the Jrockers area and send them emails, (letting them know she is a part of Pro-JECT, of course).
  • Post #194 - Diva says that TR just announced that Versailles are playing Anime USA in October and also playing in NYC.
  • Post #195 - itoshii_hito just found out about Pro-JECT, and thinks it is a great idea.
  • Post #198 - Shin friended 6 pages of the Candy Spooky Theater's friend page.
    • She can send out a bulletin, but wants to know if she should wait until Monday after our meeting or do it now.

  • Post #224 - Shin says that our next meeting will be tomorrow (7/14/08) at 7pm. She'll have to open the chat and step away for half an hour or so, and would appreciate it if someone would run the meeting until she gets back.
    • Congratulations to Diva for her moderator status!
  • Post #225 - VM says that she will do the email/msg thing if the bulletin doesn't work.
    • She suggests that we have a back up leader or something for times that Shin cannot be there.
  • Post #226 - Chem volunteers to run the meeting, as long as she knows what to go over.
  • Post #227 - Shin thinks that a back up leader (VP) is a good idea, and would nominate VM or Chem. (Anyone would be good, though.)
    • She asks how people would feel about nominating a VP to take over stuff when she's not there.
  • Post #228 - VM asks if we can pick one at the meeting tomorrow. She doesn't mind being nominated.
  • Post #230 - Inai doesn't live on the east coast, but would love to help.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 24 )

  • Post #232 - Shin says that someone brought up a really good point on the MySpace. They said that if the jrock band we're contacting doesn't have a MySpace, we should also include in our letters that we would love to see them create one.
    • She asks how many are on the mailing list and how many are on the petition.
  • Post #233 - Aki says that we currently have 13 members on our mailing list.

  • Post #238 - M can send messages out to people if Shin wants her to.
  • Post #240 - Shin asks if we should push the meeting back one hour, as most people can't make it at 7.
    • She thinks VM's idea is great.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 25 )

  • Post #246 (Shin) - This week's meeting will now be held at 8pm. The password is still hourglass.
  • Post #248 - Ragga can't get into the FC, but will go friending.
  • Post #249 - Chem thinks that we're going to be looking for a new place for meetings due to problems with the FC.
  • Post #250 - Ragga asks if Shin (or whoever does MySpaces) has gone ofer Yoshiki's page. Dir en grey is getting a little too difficult.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 26 )

  • Post #251 - Tsukiko is skipping tonight's meeting. (7/14/08)

    • We will need a profile on every networking site that we can.
    • We'll try to reach other organizations that are established in order to help spread our word and form bonds with them.
    • JRR has been spoken to, and has agreed to [to affiliate with us] as long as we establish ourselves first.
    • She suggests that we make a bond with TR in the future, as it helps bring over and promote bands, and is a well known and respected organization.
    • We will think of others at a later date.
    • She will be working on a logo, and believes that we chose the colors pink and black.
    • The logo will be used to help us be neater and help connect all pages to each other.
    • We also discussed funding.
  • Post #257 - Aki says that 5 more members have been added to the site, bringing us to 19 total members.
    • Someone asked to make a Jrock updates thing but she thought that was what her announcements blog was for.
  • Post #258 - Flip posted about us on batsu and hopes that we get a positive response.
  • Post #259 - Aki replies that someone already tried, and it didn't turn out so well.
  • Post #260 - Flip doesn't remember anyone trying batsu and thinks that maybe they went about it the wrong way.
    • She asks if we have a group on gaia. If we get a profile or guild, we could get support there.

  • Post #261 - Chem posts the gaia thread.
  • Post #262 - Flip says that we need people to keep it alive.
  • Post #263 - Tsukiko replies that its hard to keep up with every site we put a thread on, as there's so much else going on. We've done a lot to get us out in the open, and are still working on it.
    • The gaia thread is alive, and Aiwin updates it every chance she gets.
    • We might have issues with funding if we use our flyers. The photographer agreed under the understanding the we aren't for profit. We'd need to renegotiate otherwise.
  • Post #264 - Flip says that she understands about the funding, and this is a non profit thing.
    • We will need funds to do overseas shipping or mailing and t-shirts and pins if we did them.
    • Funds would be like a donation, and we would not profit.
    • She suggests that maybe funding can be discussed in the next meeting.
  • Post #265 - VM finished going through all 10 pgs of the Pro-JECT MySpace, 73 people, and sending messages to people that she believed weren't band, group, or JRR related. (She can go back and send them messages if you want.)

  • Post #268 - VM got an email reply from one of the people she messaged about the petition. The person said that they couldn't sign the petition because the site was saying that a donation had to be made.
  • Post #269 - Flip says that while the site does ask for a donation, it still signs the petition. It says "signature saved" above the donation message.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 28 )

  • Post #271 - VM says that the scroll area on Tsukiko's glog doesn't work for her.
    • She asks Flip if the person can sign the petition without bothering with the donation thing.

  • Post #286 - Ragga set up a CR account as Cowz_in_grass.
  • Post #287 - Shin joined the CR group under the name Bijun. She said that the chat on the side seems a bit small. Our chats go fast and it seems like it wouldn't be the best place to have it.
    • She thinks that for shirts and such, instead of donations we can just ask who wants one and have those people pay to get it done. Other than that, we'd just need funds for TR. Hopefully, a year from now we won't even need that.
      • If we continue strong, our numbers will grow without formal advertising.
      • Also, though discussing money is important, it won't cone into our plans until a year or so from now. It's best to leave that discussion for later.
    • We could have a youtube account if we have 3 solid videos to put up. The password could be shared amongst the officers so not just one person has to do the uploading.
    • She wants to confirm that we chose pink and black as a color scheme, that PJ stays the same, and that we like music notes. She will contact the layout designer.
    • She will post the notes sometime today or tomorrow.
  • Post #288 - Aki says that we already have a CR group, unless they are the same and the url doesn't work for her. (Note: It is the same group.)
    • She asks that we Google us (Pro-JECT Jrock in the East CoasT) and check the first two pages before we make any groups. It should list every group and thread we've created in the last month.
    • She says that Ragga's Japan Forums post has been taken down again.
  • Post #290 - VM says that we've got 63 signatures on the petition.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 30 )

    • She is KabukiPrincess17 on CR.
  • Post #292 - Shin asks if everyone wants to try and switch to the CR chat. If we do that, then everyone who hasn't needs to sign up for an account by Friday. (It takes three days of being a member before you can use the chat.)

    • She agrees with Shin about the funding.
    • She's going to start looking over things such as the website, MySpace, and groups to see what needs to be edited and such. She won't change anything anyone writes, but wants to check spelling and grammar.
      • She wants Aki's approval for everything.

    ____________________________________________________________________________ ( 31 )

  • Post #301 - Aki says that we now have 33 members on the site.

    • She should have a chance to make a video soon.
    • If you have videos, give her the link and she'll put it into her Vlog and Playlist.
  • Post #323 - Shin posted stationary samples (with and without lines) and flyers. Let her know what you think.
    • They shouldn't be a strain on the printer.

Letter Guidelines

Snail Mail

OHP Fanmail

This is alot more informal so you can just delve into it.

{Opening} State who you are, where you are, and that you want them to come there.

{Body} All the personal things you want to tell that member.

{Ending} Restate that you want them to come to the East Coast and that you support them coming overseas.

You can end it however you like with a "good luck!" or a "thanks for reading" if you can't think of anything else.

Myspace Comments

Meeting Notes (07/07/08)

What went on last meeting:

Do not put the address on their however. You will be putting both letters into a manilla envelope with my name and address on it (stamped of course) and will mail the manilla envelope to me. I will be writing in the addresses on your envelopes and making sure everything is sen toff at the same time.

  • Last night a mascot was chosen. The robo bunny recieved the most votes, so hoorah for a new mascot!

  • The first four bands we are going to ocntact are Dir en grey, The Underneath, Alice Nine, and The Gazette.

  • Erm I'm not sure if I forgot anything, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. *looks at watch* Ahaha I was right. Took me about an hour to type that up and I'm not even done. XDD

Forums I

_________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 1)

  • Post #1 - Start Post (Posted by Shintotchi)
    • Start of online street team
      • More impact as a group
    • We'll reach out by sending online/airmail fanmail around the same time.
    • We could have adrawing team.
    • EDIT: Try to get our top 5 locations and hopefully narrow that to top 3 (From post #13).
    • EDIT: Updated with graphics and links to websites.
  • Post #3 (Dark_Tig3r) - Contains more graphics
  • Post #6 - Yumeko suggests also commenting on the homepages of jrockers.
    • Its quicker than airmail.
    • Would be noticeable in a group.
    • Easier for them to check and easier for us to do.
    • Better than PMs.
    • Request a few cities that we're willing to commute to.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 2)

  • Post #15 - PinkLadyDiva brought up flyers.
    • Asked what bands/artists were sending to.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 3)

  • Post #30 - Shin points out that we're thinking about both bands and locations, but are doing one at a time.
    • Location is important because we're not only contacting bands, but radio stations, ticket outlets, music stores, etc.
    • Not all about artist, but how skeptical people in the US are about receiving them.
    • A team is good because we're trying to make things happen.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 4)

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 5)

  • Post #41 (Shintotchi) - Our Top 7 Locations:
    • Orlando, FL
    • New York City, NY
    • Detroit, MI
    • Philadelphia (two different cities were voted on for PA so it will be looked into)
    • Chicago, IL
    • Atlanta, GA
    • Boston, MA
    • We can now decide how to approach this.
      • Maybe list "big" performing arenas in area (if you live in the Top 7) and write to them.
      • Also try writing to big corporate places like Best Buy and FYE to request that they sell more jrock.
        • Which do we tackle first? Go after artists themselves?
  • Post #42 - Decomposition_ Beauty suggests going after artists, then corporations, artists have to agree to sell in US.
    • We could write to places in the Top 7, too.
    • Also suggests some people take on CD release, some take on concerts.
      • Get more done faster.
  • Post #45 - Shin likes above idea.
    • Hit all places with everyone, but maybe have different people in charge of seeing over different places. (Artists, Concert Halls, Music Stores, Radios)
    • Should set a goal to have contacted everyplace by August.
      • Maybe Yumeko could head Artist Mailing Division?
      • Shin would like to handle the Music Store Division.
        • Can do other two, but someone else is free to volunteer.
    • Should have a name
  • Post #46 - Decomp suggests building a website for our street team.
  • Post #49 - Yumeko suggests starting with artists because they need to gain popularity before stores will have them on their shelves. (It costs money if they're on the shelf and don't sell.)

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 6)

  • Post #51 - MurasakiTyou likes the fanlisting and flyer ideas.
    • 1-4 page flyer?
    • Pass around and post up about our activities.
      • Expose people to Jrock while informing existing fans about our plans.

  • Post # 58 - VM suggests a Facebook also.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 7)

  • Post #61 (Shintotchi) - Group is now UEC (United East Coasters).
    • Shin thinks that a flyer wouldn't be of much use at this point, but suggests that we make banners for our signatures or blogs.
    • Suggests that we do the MySpace and other sites under our group name.
    • Brings up The Phillips Arena and the Hifi Amphitheater, both in Atlanta, as venues.
  • Post #64 - Aiwin suggests Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta as a possible venue.
  • Post #69 - Diva suggests looking for smaller venues, maybe with a capacity of 2,000 or less. (A bit more realistic.)
    • Suggests choosing 10 bands that we want to contact.
    • She doesn't think that UEC or EAST are good names, because they don't say anything about what we're representing. (Jrock, or something music related, should be in the title.)
    • We need more time to think the plan through more thoroughly.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 8)

  • Post #71 - Yumeko suggests possibly making a wikipedia page after establishing a name, and maybe the MySpace and a fanlisting.
  • Post #78 - Yumeko doesn't think that we should be naming bands yet, and that we should name those that are likely to play.
  • Post #80 - VM suggests that someone maybe contact anime convention staff and ask about bands performing.
    • JACON, for example.
    • There are many cons in Florida, and that should be considered.
      • She wouldn't mind taking on this area with some other people.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 9)

  • Post #82 - Shin suggests new names for our group, including Pro-JecT (which quickly becomes our official name).
  • Post #90 - Aiwin suggests looking more at cities.
    • Some of our cities don't seem to have venues of the right size.
    • More cities.
    • Suggests Nashville, TN
    • Suggests two more venues
      • Chastian Park in Atlanta
      • Riviera Theatre in Chicago

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 10)

  • Post #92 - Shin thinks a good trick would be to look at the venues the Family Values tour and Diru toured at. (They may be smaller but they're more likely to listen.)
    • We should limit locations to the top 5 we're willing to go to.
      • Not best to concentrate on other locations until demand grows.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 11)

  • Post #103 - Diva suggests the following venues:
  • Post #104 (Shintotchi) - Pro-JecT becomes our official name!

  • Post #115 - Diva suggests "Pro-JecT…We're gonna Jrock the East!!!" as a slogan.
  • Post #117 - Diva suggests one of us writing a letter to send to bands.
    • We can include a link to our MySpace.
    • People can simply print, sign, seal, and deliver.
  • Post #119 - Shin made banners and an icon. (See post #1.)
    • Shin thinks sending handwritten letters to bands is great.
  • Post #120 - VM suggests a Livejournal community.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 13)

    • Print and send once we feel we have enough names.
    • We should see how we want the letters done.
    • We're going to comment on artist MySpaces.
    • Are we sending online fanmail also?
    • Probably better to send personal letters (by snail mail) individually by whoever writes it.
      • If you don't think you're a good writer, you could write a little and draw a pic or make a song or video.
    • People with cameras could record ourselves asking them to come to the east or take a pic, if you're comfortable with it.
  • Post #130 - Shin made a Facebook group.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 14)

  • Post #132 - Diva suggests having a few letters to sign for those who don't know what to write.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 16)

    • She also asked Dix if we could use JRR as an affiliate to help boost the organization (unless everyone is against it).

    • She'll see what she can do later.
  • Post #207 - VM wants to know how we're going to distribute flyers.
    • She posted about Pro-JecT on LJ and MySpace.
    • She also wants to know if we can have an update on what is done, what is to be done, and what we want done.
  • Post #208 - Tsukiko says that the MySpace is now working.
    • She also thinks that it would be a good idea to put up a "To Do" list, or something similar.
    • She thinks that we can post flyers up here, or print them and hand out/post them where we live.
  • Post #209 - Diva suggests that we can give out flyers at Jrock shows and anime conventions (though she's not sure if its allowed at cons).
    • We'd have to print them out on our own due to our lack of funds.
    • She also suggests getting a chat going.
      • Maybe through AIM or MSN.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 22)

    • She also says that she's thinking about posting on an Otakon forum.

  • Post #241 - Aki created a website for the group.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 26)

    • Apparently, she's just getting skeptics (who sadly, might have a point.)
      • The thread can be viewed here.
  • Post #259 - Aki asks if there is anyone who is staff of the grouping.
    • She also has an idea.
      • If Tainted Reality comes on tonight (6-19-08) someone could give the idea to Roger, and he may help us out.
      • She has already asked Dix (Princesse) to talk to the mods about JRR becoming an affiliate for us.
        • We are still waiting for the reply.
    • Website News.
      • Unfortunately, Aki is the only one who can run the site, as it can only be run by one person.
        • Staff members will need to give her your email address that you use frequently, incase she, or other people, need to contact you.
      • She will try to create forms for questions and complaints.
      • She created a "forums" section, but you have to be a member of the website she used to create ours.
        • (This means that you will have to create a site of your own.)
        • The forums will go if not many people are using them.
      • Our webspace is limited, but bandwidth is unlimited.
        • We are using freewebs until we gat a bigger domain or donations to upgrade the site.
      • DO NOT SPAM THE WEBSITE! The site will be shut down if we are caught doing that, so use persuasive words.
      • There is a shoutbox, and you can comment there and become a member of the mailing list.
      • The website itself still isn't on Google, but the LJ is.

    • The website can be found under the 'email' space.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 28)

  • Post #271 - Aiwin likes the MySpace background, but thinks the text and stuff is a little plain. She is willing to help spruce it up a bit.
  • Post #274 - Aki got rid of the forums for now (on the website) and will get rid of one more section, as she's only allowed 20.
    • Right now, anyone can help with the website for now (staff-wise), but Aki thinks that we should have certain criteria later, to avoid having a lot of jerks staff.
    • If you are willing to staff, let Aki know and give her the position you're willing to take.
  • Post #275 - Cheministic asks what positions are available.
  • Post #276 - Aki says to name anything you're good at in regards to helping a site, graphics, word of mouth, (and/or) paperwork. Tell her your best qualities and she'll make up a position for you. (She doesn't have any named right now.
  • Post #279 (Shintotchi) - The livejournal layout has been updated.
    • The official website has gotten quite a few hits in only two days.
    • Also, if you google Pro-JECT East, pretty much every webpage we've set up will pop up.
  • Post #280 - Aiwin feels like the text and contact tables (etc.) should pop out more. It looks a bit ordinary.
    • We want attention.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________ (pg 29)

  • Post #286 - Jazz would still like the original MySpace to stay up, despite the creation of the new one.
  • Post #290 - Aki posts that we site is now officially open.
    • She's done with the editing.
    • She plans to use Diva and Moo's letters as examples for a "write to your artists" contest.
      • People will be able to make up their words of wisdom to send to the artists.
    • Reminder: Those willing to staff, please send Aki your best qualities, an email address that you use frequently, and a mini profile of yourself.
      • Profile: Your hobbies, favorite bands, goals, etc.
      • It doesn't have to be huge, but will give the users an idea of you.
      • Those who agree to be staff are agreeing to help the users in any way possible.
        • If someone emails you about something you don't know, refer to Aki and she'll do her best to help.
